Along with being a certified stepfamily coach, Amelia is also a {second} wife, mother of two and stepmom of one. She and her husband have been together 10 years, married for 5. They each brought a daughter into the relationship and added their "ours" baby to the mix 6 years ago. Amelia is also a child of divorce; growing up in a single parent home and had two half siblings that lived in the other parents home. Along with her specialized education, Amelia's biggest asset to coaching is that she has lived through multiple stepfamily situations throughout her life, giving her many different perspectives when assisting clients.
Prior to coaching Amelia graduated as a Personal Support Worker and spent a total of twelve years working in long term care; caring for the elderly, as well as a variety of Homes for Special Care where she assisted psychiatric patients with daily living needs.
After struggling with happiness and peace in her own stepfamily situation; overcoming loneliness in her role, frustration, hurt, grief and even anger, Amelia was eventually able to overcome those obstacles. Having a lifelong passion for helping others had led her to become a certified stepfamily coach where her goal is to assist her clients in discovering the challenges while finding positive solutions to cope with and overcome them.
